BRAIDWOOD—Norma “Caroll” Sarnowski, 60, of Braidwood, formerly of Wilmington and Springfield, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the University of Chicago Bernard Mitchell Hospital in Chicago.
Born March 29, 1960 in Lawrenceville, IL, Caroll was a daughter of Asberry and Nancy A. (Mansfield) Brown Jr. She was raised in Wilmington and attended Wilmington Schools. On Sept. 19, 1992, Caroll married Stephen James Sarnowski in the backyard of their home. In her spare time, Caroll enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

WILMINGTON—Lila Mae (Mullins) Lockwood, 89, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at the Miller Rehabilitation Center in Kankakee.
She was born July 20, 1930 in Custer Township to Chester and Mary (nee Cooper) Mullins. Lila enjoyed golfing, playing cards and refereeing girls sports when Title IX was passed in the 1970’s. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington where she served as a deacon for many years.

DOLTON, IL—Arno E. Reichel, 81, of Dolton, IL, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Aperion Care in Wilmington.
Born March 31, 1939 in Blue Island, IL, Arno Edwin was a son of Kurt and Ruth (Konsoer) Reichel. He was raised in Dolton and graduated from Thornton High School. Arno owned and operated AR Trucking in Dolton. In years past, he was involved with the church youth group and enjoyed attending the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Arno took pleasure in motorcycle racing, loved the outdoors and throughout the years spent time fishing and hunting.

TINLEY PARK—Damon DeHaan, 44, of Tinley Park, and formerly of Alsip, died suddenly on April 12, 2020 at South Advocate Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, IL. Born Dec. 6, 1975, in Blue Island, Damon was a son of Dennis and Jeanette DeHaan. He was raised and educated in Alsip, and graduated from Shepard High School in 1994. Damon worked as a bricklayer and was a member of Local #74. One whose presence was larger than words, Damon was a friend to many.

WILMINGTON—Reba J. Lund, 77, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Miller Rehabilitation Center in Kankakee.
Born June 29, 1942 in Lake City, TN, Reba Jo was a daughter of Carl and Mamie (Gross) Reed. She was raised and educated in Lake City and following her graduation from high school relocated to Wilmington. On Dec. 27, 1971, Reba married Gerald Lund, and together they made their home and raised their family in Wilmington.

FLORIDA— Dale Dewitt Tucker, Passed away peacefully on March 16 after battling many different ailments over the past five years. A native of Carraway, AK, Dale’s family relocated to Wilmington, where Dale met his future wife, Sandy, at 14 years old. They were high-school sweethearts. Dale graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Forestry, followed by 4 years active and 2 years inactive duty in the US Navy, attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He then returned to the University of Illinois and achieved an MS in Economics.

William R. Nunley

WILMINGTON— William R. Nunley, 70, of Wilmington, passed away at home.
Born Oct. 25, 1949 in Springfield, TN to William and Hilda Nunley.
Bob was a maintenance supervisor. He loved to cook, fish, and camp. Most especially, he loved his family.
