WILMINGTON—Linda Kathleen Rabideau, 75, of Wilmington, passed away Aug. 8, 2025.
Born April 15, 1950, in Joliet, Linda was the eldest daughter of Leo and Joan M. (Crawford) Van Duyne. She grew up in Wilmington, graduated with the Wilmington High School class of 1968, and went on to attend Joliet Junior College.

WILMINGTON—Ronald Ray King, 77, of Wilmington, passed away at home on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025.
Born July 6, 1948, in Knoxville, TN, Ron was a son of Roy and Luella (Hurst) King. He was raised and educated in Kokomo, IN, and graduated from Kokomo High School with the class of 1966. Ron furthered his education at Indiana University Kokomo. On Sept. 18, 1968, he married Vivian Strebin in Kokomo, and together they built a loving family.

WILMINGTON—It is with great sadness that we announce that Janet S. Sullivan, of Wilmington, passed away on July 29, 2025, after courageously fighting cancer for 5 years. She was a much-loved wife, mama, and nana. Janet was born Oct. 27, 1955, to Erwin and Marlene Goodwin in Joliet. After graduating from Wilmington High School, she studied at Joliet Junior College. She worked in the Wilmington School district with special education students and retired in 2020. She loved working with students at the school.

WILMINGTON—Peggy J. Daniels, 87, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, with her loving family at her side.
Born Feb. 20, 1938 in Fort Wayne County, IL, Peggy Joyce was a daughter of James and Ruby (Edmison) Bruce. She was raised in Fairfield, IL, where she graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1956. On Jan. 10, 1957, Peggy married Glen Earl Daniels in Mount Vernon, IL. Together, they moved to Wilmington where they made their home and raised their family.

DIAMOND—Brenda Lee Jackson (née Seal), of Diamond, passed away at the age of 82 on July 22, 2025, at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born Oct. 17, 1942 in Caruthersville, MO, to Onie Goff Seal and James Ralph Seal. She and her family moved to Coal City in 1952. She graduated from Coal City High School in 1960 and married Louis (Bud) W. Jackson, of Braidwood, one year later in 1961.

CHANNAHON—Janet M. Shields (nee Santerelli), 83, of Channahon and formerly of Wilmington, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 at Arcadia Care of Morris.
A daughter of Anthony and Stella (Pomykala) Santerelli, she was born on June 12, 1942 in Joliet and was raised and educated in New Lenox. On Nov. 25, 1967, Janet married Bernard Shields in St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox and together they made a home in Florence Township, Wilmington and raised their family.
