Wilmington city officials have offered to pay half of the cost of a Ground Penetrating Radar survey of the Children’s Memorial Park in Northcrest.
The City Council agreed in September to go forward with the transfer of the park to the Park district, and the district’s Board of Commissioners said the district would accept the property. The move saves the city the cost of maintenance, and gives the Park District its own place to create recreational opportunities.
