A request seeking state grant dollars for public art projects have not been supported, however that doesn’t mean the village of Coal City’s streetscape can’t be enhanced.
“At this point, there are a number of projects for which the Board can begin the village’s investment in public art without expending many public dollars upon their implementation,” said Matt Fritz, the town’s village administrator.
One such project is the addition of murals on the east and west sides of the recently renovated commercial building at 760 E. Division St.
