The Coal City soccer team fell 2-1 to a tough Wilmington team on Wednesday, holding them close most of the game.
Wilmington got scoring started with a quick goal in the first half.
The Lady Coalers got on the board with a rocket off the foot of Cara Planeta during a penalty kick to tie the game at 1-1.
The Coal City goalie Melody Hamerla kept Wilmington off the board until the final minute of the game where the Wildcats would get the go-ahead goal to take the game.
