It’s been more than a month since folks in Braidwood saw their asphalt streets replaced unexpectedly with tar and chip roads. And looking into the process that led to gravel and rocks making a return to the local byways has prompted more anger from residents, and an apology from one city official.
On Oct. 24, residents approached the members of the City Council during the public comment portion of the regular council meeting. At issue are new tar and chip roads that have replaced several asphalt roads in town.
