The Reed-Custer Middle School “A” softball team has tasted victory, and now defeat, after suffering their first loss of the season Monday to Minooka.
The 10-0 game lasted just six innings, as the opposition was able to pile on nine runs between the fifth and sixth frames, adding to their single run in the third.
Halie LaGrange went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Mya Beard also added a hit, but the Lady Panthers were unable to push across any runs.
Grace Moyer hurled five innings from the circle, letting up five runs (two earned) off four hits.
