  • REED-CUSTER may have only recorded one touchdown in their 28-6 loss to Lisle on Friday, but the Comets continue to find positives moving forward. Reed-Custer faced a 22-0 deficit heading into the second half, but truly came together for the final two quarters, holding the Lions to only six points.   • THE COAL CITY Coalers remained perfect on their season Friday, as they upended Manteno 35-21. Coal City finished with over 300 yards on offense, as they wore down the Panthers from the start, especially with their physical running game. Danny Norton and Connor Skubic (pictured) both finished with two rushing touchdowns, while Payton Hutchings earned a 57-yard passing touchdown to Gavin Williams.
